Rentals & Parties
The Sequoia Park Zoo is a beautiful venue to celebrate a variety of special moments, from birthday parties to corporate mixers! We will work with you to create the perfect experience for your party.
General Zoo Rental Guidelines
- Reservations are required for all Zoo rentals; depending on rental type, reservations are required anywhere from two weeks to two months in advance of the intended date
- Reservations are accepted up to one (1) year in advance
- All rentals require a signed contract, security deposit (refundable), and applicable rental fees; staff fees and liability insurance may apply to certain rentals; insurance packets are available to download
- For the health and safety of our resident animals, the following items are strictly prohibited at all rentals: balloons, piñatas, glitter, silly string, confetti, raw eggs, party poppers, confetti cannons/poppers, frisbees, balls, or any other items meant to be tossed or thrown in the air; open flames, including birthday candles, are not allowed inside Zoo buildings
- Smoking or vaping of any substance is strictly prohibited in and immediately around the Zoo facility and grounds

Rental Documents
Birthday Party Rental
Minimum of 15 people, maximum of 30 people
Have your next birthday party in our scenic Flamingo Room with views of our flamingo exhibit, Hilfiker Aviary, and the forest beyond!
The Birthday Party rental includes:
- 3 hours use of the Flamingo Room
- Zoo admission for all guests
- Lunch from the Zoo Café
- A dedicated party host who will lead an activity/craft with the children and accompany your group to the Redwood Sky Walk and barnyard to feed the chickens or guinea pigs.
- An active Sequoia Park Zoo Membership grants an exclusive river otter feeding for the birthday person.
- No outside food allowed.
Reservations
Reservations for birthday parties must be at least 3 weeks in advance of the desired date.
A $50.00 refundable security deposit is required to secure your chosen date and time.
Party Cancellations
Cancellations initiated by the renter for any reason will result in forfeiture of the Security Deposit. Cancellations initiated by Sequoia Park Zoo will try to be rescheduled; if unable to reschedule, then a full refund will be issued.

Evening Room Rental
Minimum of 15 people, Maximum of 30 people
Have your next evening party, reception, or workshop in our scenic multi-purpose Flamingo Room.
Hourly rental of room and adjacent lawn includes:
- 2 hours use of the room
- Designated staff member for day-of facilitation
- Tables and chairs for up to 30 guests
- Additional time is available as an optional addition for a fee.
Reservations
Reservations for Evening Room Rentals must be made at least 3 weeks in advance of the desired date.
To secure your date, a $100.00 refundable security deposit is required.
Insurance
Insurance is required and must be approved prior to rental. Insurance Requirements for Zoo Rentals (PDF)
Catering
All catering is provided in-house by Ecos Café for a separate fee; no outside food is allowed.
Important Reminders
After-hours rentals DO NOT include access to the zoo outside of the community room, adjacent lawn and patio area and are not designed for children’s parties. For rental options allowing children after 5:00 PM, please refer to the Private Zoo Rental options.

Meeting Room Rental
Minimum of 10 people, Maximum of 50 people
Have your next meeting or workshop in our spacious and scenic multi-purpose room. Room is available for rent Monday through Friday from 8:00am-12:00pm.
Rental includes:
- Tables and chairs for up to 50 attendees
- A/V equipment including sound system, projector, and screen available upon request

Reservations for Meeting Room Rentals must be made at least 2 weeks in advance of the desired date.
Catering
All catering is provided in-house by Ecos Café for a separate fee; no outside food is allowed.
Important Reminders
Zoo admission is NOT included, and can be purchased for an additional fee.

Redwood Sky Walk After Hours Rental
Minimum of 25 people, Maximum of 100 people
Enjoy an evening among the trees on the Redwood Sky Walk.
This rental includes:
- Private experience on the Redwood Sky Walk for 25-100 guests
- Day-of facility coordinator
- Tables and chairs on the Launch Deck and along the platforms
Catering & Decorations
All catering is provided in-house by Ecos Café for a separate fee; no outside food is allowed.
Decorations must be approved by Rental Coordinator and Zoo Director prior to event.
Items prohibited from use on the Redwood Sky Walk and on zoo grounds include but are not limited to: balloons, candles, piñatas, silly string, confetti, glitter, pampas grass, raw eggs, party poppers, confetti cannons, confetti poppers, etc. as they are difficult to clean-up and pose a hazard to wildlife.

No smoking in or immediately around the facility. No open flames, including candles, allowed inside any Zoo building.

Private Zoo Rental: Limited Zoo After Hours Rental
Minimum of 100 people, Maximum of 250 people
Want a fun, beautiful, and unique space for your next special event? A Limited Zoo Rental is an after-hours rental that allows you and your guests to enjoy a private evening at the zoo with access to a limited range of exhibits (barnyard and aviaries are closed) and the world-renowned Redwood Sky Walk.
This rental includes:
- 3 hours use of zoo grounds between the hours of 5:30pm-10:30pm for up to 250 guests; extra time can be added for an additional fee
- Private evening at the Zoo with access to a limited range of exhibits (barnyard and aviaries are closed) and the world-renowned Redwood Sky Walk
- A day-of facility coordinator to assist with set up along with any facility needs throughout the event
Reservations
Reservations for Private Zoo Rentals must be made at least 2 months in advance of desired date.
A refundable $500.00 security deposit is required to reserve your preferred date.
Catering & Decorations

Private Zoo Rental: Whole Zoo After Hours Rental
Minimum of 100 people, Maximum of 250 people
A Whole Zoo Rental is an after-hours rental that allows you and your guests to enjoy a private evening at the zoo with access to all exhibits on zoo grounds and the world-renowned Redwood Sky Walk.
This rental includes:
- 3 hours use of zoo grounds between the hours of 5:30pm-10:30pm for up to 250 guests; extra time can be added for an additional fee
- A day-of facility coordinator will be available to assist with set up and any facility needs throughout the event

Reservations for Private Zoo Rentals must be made at least XXX weeks/months in advance of desired date.
A refundable $500.00 security deposit is required to reserve your preferred date.

Catering & Decorations
All catering is provided in-house by Ecos Café for a separate fee; no outside food is allowed.
