Sequoia Park Ivy League is back for another ivy pull! The progress continues December 16th as this dedicated group works to remove invasive English ivy from our neighboring Sequoia Park.
Sequoia Park Ivy League is back for another ivy pull! The progress continues December 16th as this dedicated group works to remove invasive English ivy from our neighboring Sequoia Park.
When: December 16th from 9am to 1pm
Where: Meet at Glatt and T St.
Why: English ivy is invasive and chokes the redwood trees and other plants as it grows up their trunks.
How to join: You can drop into the park anytime between 9am and 1pm to help remove ivy. They will have all necessary supplies, and they will train you on everything you need to know.
This event is kid-friendly, but kids need to be accompanied and supervised by a guardian. Feel free to bring any gardening gloves if you have them. Otherwise, they will have gloves for you to borrow. They are also seeking volunteer leaders to help build and grow this group. Make sure to let them know if you want to be more regularly involved in this project.
